BREASTFEEDING CLINICS IN LOTHIAN

The NHS Lothian website has information about your local community breastfeeding groups and the Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland Scheme. If you require specialist or medical help, please speak to your Health Visitor.

The site has information about peer breastfeeding support groups, breastfeeding support helplines and organisations including LLL, NCT, BfN, ABM, Breastfeeding Lens and NHS. Breastfeeding support helplines are available 7 days a week, 365 days a year and are staffed by women who have breastfed their own babies. They have had special training to deal with breastfeeding problems over the phone.

* will refer you to local breastfeeding groups and counsellors where available

* provide telephone follow-up if you wish

The Pregnancy and Parents Centre Breastfeeding Support group meets every Wednesday 10am to 12pm.

BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT GROUP

Breastfeeding Groups are facilitated by La Leche League Edinburgh. You are welcome to join them whether you are pregnant, currently breastfeeding or wanting to share your experiences of breastfeeding with other parents.
